Innovation Works is the single largest investor in seed-stage companies in this region and one of the most active in the country. Through a competitive selection process, IW’s Technology Commercialization Initiative (TCI) intends to provide funding for one or more short-term projects at early-stage companies that address key issues in product technology development and commercialization. TCI/IW is supported by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development.

Dr. Phil Cummins joins AURATEK as skin science advisor
Dr. Phil Cummins is excited about joining AURATEK as an advisor. He will share his expertise in skin science and help to create fabrics that naturally protect skin against repetitive damage from common bedding textiles. With 30+ years of experience in personal care and cosmetics and a PhD in chemical physics, he’s seen every skincare product under the sun and is ready to usher in the future of skincare (#solidstateskincare) with AURATEK. In his most recent role as the head of material science R&D at Estee Lauder, Phil lead ground-breaking work in the area of interfaces between cosmetic ingredients and substrates like skin and hair.
